Season Premiers

Being a TV addict, I have been watching a lot of Scrubs because the usual channels have taken Friends off the air and Seinfeld is airing at different times. There is literally NOTHING else on in the early evening. Luckily Scrubs is a nice change from shows I've seen every rerun of such as the two aforementioned.

I have taken a strong liking also to House. I was ticked to have missed the season premier last week, though I heard nothing major happened and I can basically figure it out based off last night's episode. I also missed the premier of Cavemen, which I really wanted to watch but I am guessing it was on during either House or Boston Legal. That will be a bummer because I won't be able to see it then.

The other premier I missed was America's Next Top Model. I picked it up on episode three at a friend's place though, and we have now decided to do a Top Model rotation each week. It is a convenient excuse to get together when otherwise hectic schedules disallow set meetings.

Unfortunately you've caught onto House just as the series is beginning to teeter under it's own weight...

The illnesses are getting more and more outlandish and House's character is going through a "Flanderization" - a process by which the writers augment and exaggerate the qualities the character is known for to absurd levels.

I was hoping House would be "filled in" more as the series progressed - given greater depth and layers as a character. And that seemed to be happening, especially in the 2nd season. But the focus now seems to be "how big of an outrageous jerk can we make this guy??" which is too bad.

It's still a worthwhile viewing experience compared to a lot of the junk out there. But I would urge you to check out the first couple of seasons if you want the best the series has to offer.

Yeah, I had already decided I want to get the DVDs. With hope, they can turn it around before it goes downhill like Rescue Me and Nip Tuck have.

Zach Braff was a member of my Fraternity in his college days. Haha, I just had to throw that in there.

I never did like Friends. It just seemed so formulaic of itself.

I heard Cavemen really bombed, and I am inclined to believe the claim since I believe that while they are good characters for little 1 to 3 minute commercials, I don't think they have the appeal to do a sitcom.

Boston Legal is, perhaps, my favorite show on the air right now. The duo of William Shatner and James Spader is unbeatable. Grey's Anatomy would still be my favorite show if they had stuck to method of the first season (they showed a lot more medical procedures in some detail, now they hardly show any kind of detail) and as such it is now my second favorite show.

I started watching The Unit this season and it hasn't disappointed me so far. I started watching because it has the Allstate guy in it, if you can believe that. Haha.

I've only seen a couple episodes of Gray's Anatomy. It is very popular among my coworkers for some reason.

Lol. Because it is predominantly a chick show. But since I have watched it since the first episode ever aired, I am not afraid to admit that I watch it. ;)

I never said it was female coworkers. :)

Haha, true, you did not. But being a clothing store, I generalize and assume either females or homosexual men.
