At last: Resurrection

Good news everybody! I heard a rumor and I've done a little research, and by a little, I mean almost none and found out that it is true. Futurama is coming back for the 2008 season.

There are two key elements that must be brought from the original series to make this new crack at it a success. One, they simply MUST bring back the writing staff. Two, they must bring back the original cast. No one likes it when a character is replaced---even if it is only voice acting.

I know. Futurama is adored by nerds, right? Wrong. It is clever. It isn't that only nerds like it; you have to be smart to understand it. And even if you are smart, and don't like it, you can appreciate good writing, especially for a cartoon whose biggest competitors were The Simpsons and Family Guy, two shows packed with toilet humor.

So yes, it is coming back, and along with it, the entire original cast and most of the original writers. This comes from directly from executive producer David X. Cohen's head.

I was gonna include a picture, but I don't wanna get sued.

Oh, you still like them? Seems like the same old jokes over and over. I suppose, though, that Family Guy is toilet humor, and The Simpsons is just old...

hahah Family Guy is among the more superior of modern day cartoons. Much more sophisticated than Road Runner. Really, it is on par with Bugs Bunny.

Futurama. Way to research things out.

Current Simpson's episodes are pretty schizophrenic. I think they have a team of writers, each fighting to get his/her material into each episode.

But Classic Simpsons obliterates both Family Guy and Futurama, neither of which would exist without the first 5 or so groundbreaking seasons of the former.

Thus my Booing.

The Simpsons was undoubtedly the forerunner. But you also bring me to another point...maybe it shouldn't have lasted 18 years. It could have gone out with a bang, like Seinfeld.
