When Common Sense Fails You

The question I pose tonight is whether there are proportionally more incapable people in the world today versus the past, or if it only seems that way due to the mass media coverage.

Here is yet another example of a too-young, incompetent parent who, either through deficient mental faculties of her own (namely, no common sense or parental instinct), or a complete lack of preparation has succeeded in departing her own offspring.

Some things not to do with infants:
Tape things to their mouths
Put them in microwaves/ovens
Leave them unattended in the car
...

These are part of my common sense, as I have no children.

Ummm. I can tell you some things it says. Something about google interesting about your post. And the links say "Personalized t-shirts".

Basically, it's spam.

anyway, on to the content of the post. I don't feel like reading the article because I am extremely tired, but I agree. Common sense is no long common. Parents think it's okay to never discipline their kids anymore and when they do they wind up killing them and what not. Come on people, pull your head out of your collective ass.

It's portuguese, so I can't read it very well, but being similar to spanish, I could read what I did. Babelfish says the following:

"Oi, I found yours blog for google tá well interesting I liked this post. When to give gives passed for mine blog, is on personalized t-shirts, shows step by step as to create a well personalized t-shirt way. Until more"

Of course babelfish is only a rough translation, but you get the idea.

comment spam is rather common, unfortunately. If you turn on "word confirmation" it lessens it.

I don't think that common sense is more "uncommon" now than any other time. There is simply more people and more immediacy in media coverage. That means there's a higher probability of someone, somewhere, doing something stupid coupled with a far-reaching ability to hear about it.

Haha. Nicely put.

Yeah, I figured it was spam and not some person who actually found my blog on google. I don't know how one would even be able to do that...
